What Rest May Do

Lucy, Maddie, Toby (the dog Maddie is holding) Lily and Swimmer (the dog Lily is holding) smile at us from the first picture; Dudah and Drew smile at each other in the 2nd.  These children are cousins and live on opposite ends of the country.  Dudah saw the girls on Saturday and then went to be with Drew on Sunday.  He's happy.

Both pictures were taken last Sunday around the same time (though the clock registers a difference of three hours).  The picture of the girls was taken during our walk after naps (we all slept for about 2 1/2 hours: They slept that long because they didn't get enough sleep the night before.  I slept that long because they didn't get enough sleep the night before).  Our walk Sunday evening was the most pleasant time of our weekend together (their mom and dad were away) and I know it was because we were all rested.  I'm not sure about Drew's rest, but he looks pleasant enough, doesn't he?

Leaves me wondering what the world might be like if we all got enough rest.
